The cummerbund that expands where your body actually does.

Most cummerbunds are built backward — literally. Traditional systems place their stretch and expansion at the rear panel, against your spine. The problem is that your spine is the one part of your torso that barely moves when you breathe. Your chest expands forward and to the sides. The rib cage pivots at the spine like a hinge, swinging the sternum up and out and lifting the sides outward with every breath. Put the “give” in the back, and you’ve built flexibility into the one place your body doesn’t need it — while your chest fights the armor for room.

The Perroz Structural Cummerbund flips that logic. Our patented front-expansion design places the movement at the anterior and lateral chest wall, where your ribs genuinely travel during inhalation. The carrier moves with your breathing mechanics instead of resisting them — keeping the rear anchored and stable for load-bearing for heavy weight equipment such as side armor, ordnance or belted ammo, while the front gives you the room to draw a full, unrestricted breath.

The result is a plate carrier that stays locked down and secure under load due to its rigid thermoplastic construction and fixed position in the rear, but doesn’t cinch across your chest every time your lungs need to work — whether you’re moving fast, carrying heavy loads, or grinding through a long day in the kit.
